What is coaching?
Coaching is a space to think and talk, to untangle issues or unblock problems. Working with an external and impartial coach in a confidential environment will enable you to fully explore your goals and address the barriers to success. One of the reasons coaching works is that it focuses on the present. The process is grounded in setting attainable goals, developing plans and assigning accountability. We look at your strengths and consider how challenges might be reframed.
What would you do if you were feeling braver?
Professional and personal success relies on feeling connected, motivated and fulfilled, and we need to take responsibility for making that happen. Finding and following your purpose is at the core of this, but it’s not always easy. Personal growth entails stepping outside our comfort zone, but too often we are held back by self-limiting beliefs, negative thoughts or tricky dynamics. Sometimes we need help to navigate choppy waters, reflect when we’re stuck, or embrace bolder decisions. That’s why I set up Bravely – to help others go bravely.

My experience
I am an ICF accredited coach (ACC). I trained in Business and Personal Coaching with Barefoot Coaching, one of the leading training companies in the UK. I predominantly work in career and executive coaching to support others to shine bright. I specialise in supporting individuals in purpose-led roles or those considering a transition into the space, including those working in non-profits, the social economy, sustainability or ESG, where individuals can often feel overwhelmed, under-resourced, isolated or impatient for progress.
I have particularly relevant senior business experience across media, travel, education, social impact and charities, but I work across any sector. Having successfully pivoted roles, industries and sectors several times, I enjoy helping others progress and enjoy a career that will give them meaning and purpose. I am also passionate about supporting individuals who are considering a change in sector, direction or balance for their next chapter to make room for what is important.
Whilst I specialise in business, career and executive coaching, in reality our lives are not always that defined. During our sessions clients may discover that personal issues are impacting work, and so we’ll pick up topics from both personal and business life.
Testimonials
“We were going through considerable transition as a charity, and Emma’s coaching proved to be invaluable. To lead on a change process as a CEO can be lonely and anxiety provoking. Emma provided expert support to help me see new perspectives, turn obstacles into opportunities and hold my nerve.”
— CEO, Charity
“My coaching with Emma has been a real game changer. I hadn’t received any formal coaching or mentoring before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. From the very first session I was put at ease. Over the course of 4.5 hours I was pushed out of my comfort zone – in a great way. I started the coaching sessions with Emma when I moved to a new job. Having experienced imposter syndrome in my previous role, I wanted to start my new position feeling confident and with the right tools to set me up for success. We worked through times where my confidence was at its highest during my career and channelled these moments in the here and now. These coaching sessions gave me the motivation and momentum I needed at a crucial point in my career. I couldn’t recommend Emma enough!”
— Innovation Manager
“Thank you so much for your time today! Great to think that bit deeper and wider around some of the opportunities afforded to me and also the space to talk openly and honestly. Even happier to close the screen down with a list of actions and a positive mind frame for moving forward.”
— Learning and Development Manager, Charity
“I’ve had my fair share of coaching and I would say Emma is up there with the best I’ve come across. She’s got a great mix of smarts and heart, and she’s very genuine in her approach to building the coaching relationship. This for me meant trust and openness came easily, and I never felt like there was any judgment in the coaching space she created. Emma is super flexible in her style, too. She encourages you to take the lead on what you want to talk about. She can switch things up and use whatever tools are most helpful for you that day or just go with the flow in the moment. Emma’s experience in leadership roles means she completely gets the kind of challenges business leaders face, whether it’s dealing with strategy, people stuff, or personal issues. She’ll help you figure out a path forward to your goal. I can honestly say that after coaching with Emma, my mindset has done a 180, and it’s had a really positive impact on the goals I set for myself during the coaching.”
