A storyteller and coach with a passion for purpose
Briefly on Bravely
I help organisations and individuals to increase their positive impact on people and planet. My consultancy clients include businesses, charities and individuals who want to contribute to a fairer and more sustainable future. I help develop strategies, frame communications, deliver campaigns and programmes and ensure organisations are set up for success. As a qualified coach I use coaching as part of my consultancy to help clients make bolder decisions and support teams and leaders to thrive.
Briefly on Bradley
My name is Emma Bradley. I have 30 years’ experience in marketing and communications leadership across commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors. I spent the early part of my career working in the travel industry at TUI, British Airways and Tourism Australia. I then sought purpose-led roles where I could use my commercial and storytelling skills for societal impact, firstly as Marketing and Fundraising Director at the BBC’s charity, Children in Need, then as a member of the BBC’s senior leadership team in central and divisional marketing roles. I was a Director at Global Media & Entertainment where I led the social impact agenda, encompassing community, education, EDI and environment. I was Founder CEO of Global’s Make Some Noise, the group’s charity which works across physical and mental health, shelter and safety, isolation and life skills, delivering grants, learning programmes and awareness campaigns. I was also instrumental in setting up Global Academy, a secondary school with a vocational specialism in media which has a track record of supporting disadvantaged young people into the creative industries. I also spent time as a Senior Associate Consultant with a Social Impact Consultancy, and was CEO of a small social mobility charity supporting young people to develop careers knowledge, employability skills, confidence and connections.
I am a former Non-Executive Director of an education services company, freelance assessor at Cambridge University Institute of Sustainability Leadership, Trustee and School Governor.
I am an accredited ICF (International Coaching Federation) coach (ACC) and a member of the ICF. I have a BA Hons in English from Cambridge University and an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London. I am also a GRI Certified Sustainability Professional.
Please don’t think this was all plain sailing! Along the way I was rejected from law school (a good thing in hindsight but not at the time!), was daunted by promotions, and struggled with work life balance. I wish I had sought out coaching at all those moments, which is why I am passionate about helping others set and achieve their goals.

Outside work, I enjoy creative writing, upcycling, a weekly Parkrun and outdoor swimming. I am a member of a lively book club and the owner of an even livelier cockapoo called Olive.
I have a tattoo of a dolphin on my ankle. Dolphins are bold, curious, caring and playful – traits that I have adopted as the values at Bravely.
